Coronavirus Update

The devolved governments of the UK have taken decisions to introduce further national lockdowns across the country. This means that from Tuesday 5 January 2021, any non-essential businesses will close and people will be asked to stay at home.

Are Mr Auto Centres open?

As an essential business, Mr Auto will continue to operate at service centres and across our mobile network during this time to support customers and keep vital fleets on the road.

Therefore, we’re pleased to confirm that trading will continue as normal.

What are the opening times?

Should we have to make changes to centre opening times due to local staffing levels, will we update our website accordingly. We recommend that you check our Contact Us page before visiting a centre to confirm opening times.

The safety and wellbeing of our colleagues and customers remain our number one priority. In order to limit the number of people at our centres at any one time, wherever possible we recommend calling in advance to check availability and stock.

What precautions are being taken?

To help keep our workforce safe, and to ensure they can continue their vital work, we ask that you do not visit our service centres if you are exhibiting the symptoms of the Coronavirus.

Our centre teams and mobile technicians continue to follow rigorous personal hygiene guidelines including wearing gloves for each interaction and regular washing of hands.

Our centres are being cleaned multiple times throughout the day, including all regularly touched surfaces.

We have removed any non-essential items from our centres, such as magazines and promotional leaflets, and have switched off coffee machines in our waiting rooms until further notice.

Do I need to wear a face-covering?

All customers are asked to wear a face-covering whilst in our reception areas. If you do not have a face covering, our team will politely request that you remain outside and we will come to you when available.

Social distancing

We are exercising social distancing and have spaced out waiting area chairs where possible. If not possible, we have placed signs on seating to indicate where customers can sit and still maintain the appropriate distance.

At present we are only able to take card payments and are ensuring that chip and pin machines are suitably cleaned for each and every transaction.

We will not ask customers to ‘sign’ for work using our digital vehicle tablets and will sign on their behalf.

We may ask you to wait in your vehicle to reduce the number of customers in the centre at any one time.
